SKIN HEALTH · EVEN TONE
ASSESSED AT CONSULTATION
Assessment-led care for uneven tone, post-inflammatory pigmentation and selected pigmentation concerns — planned around your skin tone, your history and what is actually driving the change.

TREATMENT OPTIONS
There is no single treatment for pigmentation. What is appropriate depends on what kind it is, your skin tone, and how your skin has responded before.
01Selected peels at a planned depth to support surface renewal and more even tone.
02For texture and post-acne marks, with pigment risk planned for in advance.
03The daily routine that does most of the work between appointments.
Understanding what the pigmentation is comes before deciding what to do about it.

REVIEW
Some pigmentation — including melasma and pigment related to medication or hormonal change — behaves very differently and may need a different approach or onward referral.

IMMEDIATELY AFTER
Redness or warmth is usual and settles over the first day, depending on the treatment.
FIRST WEEK
Dryness or flaking can appear. Pigment may look temporarily darker before the skin renews.
DURING RECOVERY
Daily broad-spectrum SPF is the single most important thing you can do. Avoid picking or scrubbing.
ONGOING
Pigment is reviewed over weeks rather than days, and maintenance skincare continues between treatments.
Pigmentation responds gradually. Judging a result in the first fortnight is usually too early.
MORE EVEN TONE
Selected protocols may help improve the appearance of uneven tone and surface pigment.
POST-INFLAMMATORY MARKS
May help improve the appearance of marks left after blemishes or inflammation.
BRIGHTER SKIN
Supports the removal of dull surface cells for a clearer-looking complexion.
TEXTURE
Smoother surface texture often accompanies tone work rather than being separate from it.
A WORKING ROUTINE
A daily skincare plan that supports the result between appointments.
HONEST EXPECTATIONS
A clear view of what is likely to improve, what may not, and what needs review.
Pigmentation treatment carries a particular risk: the treatment itself can provoke more pigment. That is the main reason everything here is staged and reviewed.
Where pigmentation needs investigating rather than treating, we will say so and discuss onward referral.
MAY BE SUITABLE FOR
MAY NOT BE SUITABLE IF
Sudden, changing, or single-spot pigmentation should be checked medically before any cosmetic treatment is considered. We will not treat something that needs investigating.

Pigmentation is rarely treated in isolation. These pages explain the treatments and the reasoning behind them.
QUESTIONS
Sun exposure, inflammation after blemishes, hormonal change, medication and injury can all leave pigment behind. The cause matters, because it changes what treatment is appropriate.
Not usually, and we would not promise that. Many people see a worthwhile improvement in tone and evenness, but some pigment — particularly melasma — can persist or return, especially with sun exposure.
It can be, with planning. Melanin-rich skin carries a higher risk of post-inflammatory pigmentation, so treatment is selected at an appropriate depth and staged, rather than performed aggressively.
Pigment responds over weeks rather than days, and usually after more than one session. Your plan will set out realistic timing for your skin.
Daily broad-spectrum SPF is the most important part of any pigmentation plan, alongside the skincare agreed at consultation. Treatment without that support tends not to hold.
